🤖 What If The AI Apocalypse Is Actually Good News?
The Deep Dive: https://markwhitby.me/ai-apocalypse-part-ii/
Quick Read TL;DR
We keep seeing the same scary AI story:
Robots take our jobs.
Machines take over.
Humans become obsolete.
But what if we’ve got the ending completely wrong?
The upside fantasy is much more interesting.
Imagine AI and robots taking over the dangerous, boring and repetitive work humans have never really wanted to do.
- Construction.
- Factory work.
- Cleaning.
- Driving.
- Administration.
- Data entry.
- Basic research.
And instead of making humans irrelevant, that could free us to concentrate on the things that actually make us human:
Creativity. Curiosity. Relationships. Judgement. Experience.
There’s a reason the phrase keeps popping up:
Technology has always changed work. It destroys some jobs, creates others and gives ordinary people capabilities that once belonged only to big organisations.
AI could do the same thing on a much bigger scale.
The real opportunity isn’t humans versus machines.
It’s humans with machines.
And maybe the biggest win isn’t getting machines to become more human…
It’s giving humans more freedom to be human.
That’s the AI future I’m betting on. 🚀
What do you think? Optimistic… or am I living in the upside fantasy?
