Effects, filters, and backgrounds can help enhance your video call and camera experience. You can customize your experience to help you feel more comfortable on camera and express yourself in fun ways.

Use effects, filter, or backgrounds

  • Join a video call or open your camera in WhatsApp.
  • Tap 
    effects

    .

  • Tap Effects, Filters, or Backgrounds.
  • Select an effect, filter, or background. You can scroll an effect to the middle or tap on it to apply it.
  • Tap 
    none

     or another filter or background to remove the effect.

  • Tap 
    reset

     at the top of the screen to remove all effects.

Use touch up features on video call

  • Join a video call or open your camera in WhatsApp.
  • Tap

     to toggle touch up on or off.

Note: Once you turn on this feature, it will be applied in all future video calls unless you turn it off.

Turn low light mode on or off
