Not a Geek, But the Geek Translator: My Internet Origin Story

Quick Read TL;DR  Many Success's driven by several big failures and retired in 2002.

Way back in the Mid 90's

…my Geek journey began, not as a geek but a babysitter to two geeks who had what I can refer to as “personality bypass”. Socially awkward and brilliant meant that I was left to be the public face…. the Sales & Marketing who had to Geek Translate to the business clients.

Then, out on my own, I sufferred badly from The F Word (failure) with lots of lessons and decided supplying to the corporate world (and business in general) wasn't for me. Sold up what I had accumulated, tossed it in the bank and became a Digital Nomad even before it had a name!

I never stopped learning and “Internetting” so after several years of “traveling” when my bank manager who looked after my retirement stash said that I may have to “go back to work” I nearly fell off the chair!

And so…. helping others through the maze of the myterious internet seemed like the perfect way to do what I love, wherever I wanted to be.

That's Lifestyle

26 countries later looking for the final destination to settle down, I relaised that where I started was where I should end up, not the green grass on the other side was better, it was just my Eat Prey Love moment was more like Travel Food Coffee on the way back to Australia.

For now i am on the way but not there yet….. the journey continues, as does the story, stay tuned., it's still going stong.

Ask me where I am now & why I have four cats and no bicycle.
