The Pages I Like & The Ones I Don’t
We all have our favourite corners of the internet the ones we keep going back to because they just work. Maybe it’s the clean layout, the way the words seem to pull you in, or how effortlessly you can find what you’re looking for. Then, on the flip side, there are the sites that make you want to throw your laptop out the window. Cluttered design, confusing navigation, clunky pop-ups, or just a vibe that feels… wrong.
I spend a lot of time online researching, building, writing, and tinkering with projects. Over time, I’ve noticed I’m constantly comparing pages. Some websites set the bar high by being a joy to use, while others are perfect case studies in how not to do it. And it got me thinking: instead of keeping all those mental notes in my head, why not actually share them?

It’s not meant to be harsh criticism or over-the-top praise—it’s more about learning, noticing patterns, and sparking ideas. What makes one site click instantly while another falls flat? Why does one design convert visitors into loyal fans, while another drives them away?
This post is just the start. If you’re curious to dive deeper into my running collection—with links, examples, and my thoughts on what works (and what really doesn’t)—you’ll find it all right here:
